Bathsheba opens from apricot-yellow buds into shallow-cupped, fully double rosette blooms. The petals offer an elegant blend of subtle apricot-pink with soft yellow, giving an overall impression of warm apricot, while the outer petals fade to creamy tones  .

Fragrance

Expect a superb, medium-strong floral fragrance featuring prominent notes of myrrh, delicately enhanced by hints of honey and tea  .

Habit and Growth

This variety is a short, vigorous climbing rose, reaching approximately 10 ft in height when well-established  . The name “Bathsheba” was inspired by the heroine of Thomas Hardy’s Far from the Madding Crowd  .

Flowering and Petal Count

Bathsheba is a repeat flowering rose, offering multiple blooms from late spring through to early winter  . Each bloom is large and very full, with approximately 170 petals  .
